Communities are not built by people just coming and dropping off resources. That helps, but true change comes when you can empower the local people with the skills to help themselves. It is not about just giving someone a packet of seeds, it is about teaching them how to farm in a more efficient way.

Farming

Farming is such a vital part of the community in Mokopane and the surrounding area. We work with the farmers to teach them not only how to plant, but the proper use of straw on top of the soil to capture moisture. We can clearly see the difference it makes in the fields and so can the farmers. When they produce better crop, they can provide for their families better and for the community.
